Aptus completed this complex bridge-attached utility project on the Crescent City Connection in New Orleans, LA. As one of the busiest and most vital bridges in the region, this project plays a key role in enhancing the city’s infrastructure and ensuring reliable utility support.
The Crescent City Connection is the fifth-longest cantilever bridge in the world, stretching over 13,400 feet across the Mississippi River, linking New Orleans to the West Bank. This bridge serves as a critical transportation and utility corridor, making this installation essential to the region’s growth and sustainability.
This projects scope included the following items:
- 16,000 linear feet of 4″ fiberglass conduit for long-lasting utility support
- 1,200 linear feet of 2″ fiberglass conduit, reinforcing the bridge’s infrastructure
- 17 pullboxes strategically placed for system accessibility
- 431 supports and hangers, ensuring secure and durable installation
